My Pet Shop Boys Top Five

No.5

Opportunities (Let's Make lots of Money) 12"
Opportunities, Opportunities (reprise)/ Opportunities (Original Dance Mix), Was it worth it
Parlophone 12R6129 b

Great drums and the dub version can be played over and over and you always seem to hear something new.

No.4

West End - Sunglasses 12"
West End - Sunglasses/ One More Chance
ZYX Records 5196, 1984

An old one, and a weird one, real heavy beats that mixes two songs and with Lyrics, "I wear my sunglasses at night" I just had to include it.

No.3

Heart 12" Remix
Heart (Remix)/ Heart (dub mix), I get excited (you get excited too)
Parlophone 12RX6177, 1988

one of their only Pop song, this version was far better than the album. I hated that one. this one encourged me to buy both Singles with their different covers and all the 12".

No.2

West End Girls 12" with Picture label
Shep Pettibone Mastermix/ West End Dub, A man could get arrested
EMI 12RA6115, 1985

This classy song stands the test of time. Playing it I imagine the wet, bleak days in London when this was released, great song to drive at night to.

No.1

It's a Sin 12" US Import
It's a Sin (Vocal mix), It's a Sin (Dub)/ It's a Sin (Remix)/ You know where you went wrong
EMI America V-19256, 1987
Quotes Actually as being called 'Jealousy'

Great song, great beat, but this mix of over nine minutes is totally the best thing I've ever heard by them. It's so powerful, no Pet Shop Boys fan should be without. I was lucky to to find it all those years ago

These all seem quite old now, but for me these were and are the Best of the Pet Shop Boys. I do like a lot from Very, but they just didn't make it to the top of my list.
